Rum Runners Tour

Now this is fun! With a cast of colourful characters, hear the stories and see the places of interest; the hideouts, secret passageways, and mansions associated with the rumrunners. You’ll even have lunch at a speakeasy where “Fingers” will be tickling the ivories with tunes from “The Roaring Twenties.”

Pelee Island 

Enjoy a day on beautiful, serene Pelee Island.  Learn how the unique features of the island provide suitable conditions for wine production, and taste how deliciously various wines pair with food! After lunch, enjoy a leisurely, informative tour of this hidden island gem.

Day 1: Travel to Windsor

Enjoy the comfort of the motorcoach while travelling westward across Southern Ontario to Windsor.  Arrive late in the afternoon with a free evening to do some exploring and have some fun at the casino.

Day 2: Windsor Rum Runners Tour, Free Evening at the Casino

After breakfast, step back in time with the Rum Runners Tour. After spending the day in 1920s Windsor, you’ll be back to the hotel later in the afternoon, with free time for dinner and an evening of fun at the casino.

Day 3: Pelee Island Tour & Wine Tasting, Free Evening at the Casino

After a hearty breakfast, board the coach to head for the Leamington Ferry Terminal. On Pelee Island, enjoy a guided island tour with lunch and wine tasting. Arrive back at the hotel in the evening.  Perhaps you’ll enjoy dinner with some new friends from the day’s adventures, and enjoy some games in the casino.

Day 4: Homeward

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel, then it’s back aboard the coach for the journey homeward. What was your favourite part of the trip: the Rum Runners, the casino, or Pelee Island?  You’ll never look at the Ambassador Bridge the same way again!

We recommend comfortable rubber-soled shoes for the walking tours.

If you would truly like to indulge, spa services are available at the hotel, and should likely be arranged in advance.

This itinerary includes a ferry ride. Although for most people medication is not required, there may be some who may want to bring along a remedy for motion sickness.  You don’t want to let a little thing like that spoil this amazing experience.
