Yet, amid the lush greenery and the beautiful gardens throughout the city, the air feels fresh and rejuvenating, inviting all to get outside and explore.

Victoria's Lovely, Mild Climate
Victoria, B.C. boasts over 300 days of sunlight a year and has one of the mildest climates in Canada. The city enjoys moderate temperatures, with daytime highs typically ranging from 10°C to 15°C. April tends to be quieter than the summer months which means fewer crowds. It’s a peaceful and relaxed time to enjoy the city’s charm at your own pace. September and October's temperatures are similar to April, and perfect for exploring!
Butchart Gardens
Over 100 years ago Jennie Butchart envisioned transforming an exhausted limestone quarry into a beautiful sunken garden. Today Butchart Gardens is a National Historic Site of Canada, where guests are greeted by millions of bedding plants in over 900 varieties including the famous sunken Rose Garden that contains 280 varieties of roses amongst the 2,500 rose plants. The gardens are world-renowned for stunning botanical displays with an ever-changing tapestry of colour.

Day 1: Welcome to Victoria, BC
Today, travel to the southern tip of Vancouver Island. Fly from Toronto to Victoria, B.C, arriving in “the City of Gardens” mid-afternoon. Known for its picturesque beauty, mild climate, and historic charm, Victoria offers a unique blend of natural landscapes and urban sophistication. Check-in to the Victoria Marriott Inner Harbour, located in the heart of the historic downtown district and steps from the harbour, shopping, entertainment, and the Victoria Convention Centre. After settling into your hotel, get to know your travel companions during a welcome dinner.

Day 2: City Tour, Free Afternoon

Day 3: Butchart Gardens, Free Afternoon/Evening
After breakfast, visit the renowned Butchart Gardens, a National Historic Site of Canada. This stunning garden was once a limestone quarry before being transformed into a breathtaking display of over 900 varieties of plants. Springtime favourites include tulips, daffodils, ornamental cherries, magnolias, and more. After exploring the beauty of Butchart Gardens, you can discover more of Victoria at your own pace for the remainder of the day. Whether you stroll through the charming downtown area, visit local shops, or relax by the harbour, there’s plenty to enjoy.
Day 4: Whale-Watching
Enjoy a leisurely morning before walking to the pier and boarding a zodiac for an exciting whale-watching tour. Cruise the Salish Sea and the Strait of Juan de Fuca in search of orcas and humpback whales. Keep your eyes open for sea lions, bald eagles, otters, and other curious wildlife. Arrive back on land in time for dinner on your own.
Day 5: Victoria Walking Food Tour
After breakfast, meet your local guide and set off on a delightful food tour. As you stroll through the city, uncover Victoria's rich history and vibrant culture while tasting your way through its best-hidden culinary gems. Along the way, you'll meet passionate local entrepreneurs and hear their fascinating stories, all while savouring the fruits of their life's work. Spend the rest of the afternoon exploring on your own. Reconvene at night for an included, farewell dinner.
Day 6: Homeward
After breakfast, check out of your hotel and depart for the airport. Say goodbye to Victoria and your fun spring getaway.
