This massive underground bunker was built between 1959 and 1961, during the Cold War. Today the Diefenbunker Cold War Museum offers tours and programs, informing guests of the tense conflict between the United States and the Soviet Union, and Canada’s role and the lessons to be learned from the Cold War.
